Ashland Town Center Welcomes Five Below

First Five Below Location in Tri-State Area to Host Grand Opening on Friday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m.

ASHLAND, KY (Jan. 28, 2021) — After much anticipation, Ashland Town Center will celebrate the grand opening of Five Below with a ribbon cutting on Friday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m.

According to their website, “Five Below is one of the fastest growing value retailers on the planet, offering high-quality products loved by tweens, teens and more, with extreme $1-$5 value, plus some incredible finds that go beyond $5. We know life is way better when you’re free to “let go & have fun” in an amazing experience filled with unlimited possibilities, which makes it easy to say “YES!” to the newest, coolest stuff across 8 awesome Five Below worlds: tech, create, play, candy, room, style, party, new & now. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Five Below today has 1,000+ stores in 38 states.” The location at Ashland Town Center is also one of less than 10 Five Below locations situated within an enclosed town center, rather than an open-air, strip mall center.

“We are thrilled to welcome the first Tri-State area Five Below to Ashland Town Center,” said Vicki Ramey, General Manager at Ashland Town Center. “Our goal is to add diverse tenants, to enhance the overall experience for our guests and to further position Ashland Town Center as a gathering place for our community. This is a perfect example of one of the ways that we are bringing unique, first-to-market retailers to Ashland for our guests.”

Ashland Town Center continues to offer a variety of notable retail locations to offer guests the most dynamic shopping experience. Five first-to-market retailers opened their doors to guests in 2020, bringing new and exciting places to shop to the community. In the last four years, 14 new stores have opened at the town center with continued growth and tenant mix upgrades on the way. Most recent openings include Rose & Remington, Curve & Cloth, Burlap & Birch, Ironheadz Sports Nutrition and WASH, all which were the first to the Tri-State area. These are just a few examples of Ashland Town Center’s ongoing commitment to creating a true town center where community members can safely shop, dine, and gather together.

Ashland Town Center remains focused on providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. In the continued need to address COVID-19, the town center has proactively implemented additions to the Code of Conduct, effective until further notice. Conditions include the following guidelines:

  • Practice social distancing and stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) from other people.
  • Covering your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover in accordance with state and local guidelines.
  • Do not gather in groups.
  • Adhere to each individual tenant’s COVID-19 policies.
  • Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations, recommendations and mandates regarding COVID-19.
  • The Code of Conduct is posted at the Center and available online.

Ashland Town Center’s already rigorous disinfectant and cleaning practices will also continue many times per day, including periodically disinfecting areas most susceptible to the spread of germs. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer dispensers are located in highly trafficked areas and walkways for public use.
